we have a bit of a courgette glut at present! and my version of a Nigel Slater recipe has been baked lots. and lots. courgettes anyone?cream together 200g of butter or baking fat (etc!) with 200g of sugar, I use caster/ granulated. add 2 eggs (or 3 bantie eggs!) and beat lightly. in a separate bowl grate your courgette. because we have sooo many I do quite a lot. 300g upwards. Catching up with new technology I have a new phone, with internet and everything! I absolutely love the camera and the various apps I've downloaded, I love my DSLR but it's also fun to potter round the garden with my phone, the chooks are also less nervous around it.some of the pretty flowers currently in the garden. week three- filled with flowers and sadness when Sage, one of our baby banties, born only last year, sadly died suddenly. The photo of her feathers was taken on the day she died when she was sitting having a rest on my knee.the tulips have continued to be just beautiful, the softness of the hyacinths faded away but my lovely ma gave us a second pot of bulbs to continue my hyacinth blues obsession!
